Best Rechargeable Aa Batteries

Which is the best brand of AA rechargeable batteries?
I want it to not only deliver a lot of power but to also last a very long time. So which are the best AA rechargeable batteries?
I need these batteries to power LED night goggles I constructed. There are 2 green LEDs(3 mm), and although I forget the specifications(they are pretty standard) they work perfectly well with 2 AAA batteries(regular, non rechargeable batteries). I just want a battery or batteries that will last longer than AAA batteries, and C or D batteries are too heavy, so AA rechargeables seem like the best solution. Obviously, the amount of electrical power I need is quite modest.
They're basically all the same. If you examine their capacities you'll notice this. Ratings are subjective because they behave differently under different loads.
I recommend Ray-O-Vac, they offer the best bang for the buck out of the most popular brands. There's dozens to choose from. Your experience will vary.
Note: most rechargeables are of the NiMH composition. They and NiCad cells output about 1.2 volts compared to the 1.5 of alkaline and other single-use cells. Keep that in mind when powering LEDs directly.
Example, a pair of green high brightness LEDs may offer full brightness at 2.8V. A pair of series 1.5V cells will actually overdrive them. The 1.2V rechargeable cells will slightly underpower them. Neither application offers any current control which is best for LEDs but in your basic application straight battery power should be just fine.
