Family Camping – 5 things you need to know to choose a camping tent

A question I often get people asking me for advice on family camping is how to choose a good camping tent. With so many different types of tents available out there, even an experienced camper can get easily embarrassed by the astonishing variety of tents to choose from. Here are some essential tips to consider when choosing your family camping tent.

1. The size of your tent

Firstly, when choosing a tent, you need to know how many people you will need to respond to the tent. You do not want your entire family cramps inside a tent where there is barely enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably. Tents are normally advertised as two, four, six and so on. Believe me, when the label says two people try, they wanted exactly that. Do not try to stuff your speed well in it. If you need to store your gear in the tent, then consider choosing a larger tent size. In addition, you must choose a tent with a height that is large enough to relax.

2. Location of your site

You will need to determine the conditions possible weather where you are going to camp. Weather may have different effects on different tents. windy areas need tents robust poles, stakes and anchor ropes. For spots of rain, choose a tent with a rain fly completely waterproof covering as much as possible. Maggot Rain will also provide shade for tents in sunny places. Look for tents with large screened windows on opposite sides the tent, which provides ventilation air by heat.

3. Quick and Easy Set Up tent

Choose a camp that is easy to configure. Tents Essentially, there are four forms: umbrella, a framework, the geodesic dome or "" and the wall. The umbrella is the most commonly used family tent, as it has a lot of standing room, large windows and a rain fly over the top. Some stores are happy to show the installation attempts in the store. If not, try to implement at home. If this is not quick or easy to find another tent.

4. Equipment Tent and Poles

For more durable tent, find one that has a good fabric. Most tents are made of nylon. Coated nylon is used for sealing. Better tents use thicker fabric and polyester rainflies more severe. Poles are also important in determining the stability of a tent. fiberglass poles are better for durability while Poles aluminum is lightweight but solid. You should also test the fasteners slide to ensure that they can open and close freely.

5. Budget for your tent

You should know how much you're willing to spend your tent. In general, most tents are made with stronger fabric prices, stronger poles, and stronger seam that can last for many years. However, not everyone needs this strength and durability. If you are just starting out in your family camping adventures, you can stick with tents cheaper. Select a price range you are comfortable with and stay with it until you find a tent that meets all your needs – in terms of size, style and price.

Your camping tent is not your only shelter against the elements, but also to spend your refuge good time with your family. You have a great family camping.
